Thank you for sharing a tiny fandom with me! This exchange gives me such joy every year, and my greatest wish from you is that you have a good time writing your story. I am not picky at all - as long as you stay away from my do-not-wants and have fun with your writing process and enjoy the canon, I’m gonna be over the moon.

If you want more direction than that, though, I’m happy to provide!

Prompt: The video gave such unexpectedly sexy Jaws vibes for being set in the winter and about lesbians. I'd love peeks of them in other seasons, or Chappell turning out to be a different kind of mystical creature of her own, or an AU where SHE is the siren chasing an alluring yet indifferent hot human girl. If you can wrangle a happy ending for these two star-crossed gays, I would be so intensely happy, but any Siren POV or PWP in general would be a delight.

Oh my godddd, Chappell please. Your over the top obsession is VERY UNDERSTANDABLE, but simmer down babe!!!!!!!! Ahem. This video is so fucking fun, even when Chappell gets desperate and cringe. The Siren is hot as fuck, so that’s totally valid. I’d love a happy ending to their story, where Chappell stops being jealous of the Siren’s kills and starts figuring out what she wants… gets some confidence!! SHE’S HOT TO GO. Meanwhile the Siren kind of misses her weird soft squishy human, and realizes maybe she could have given Chappell a little more of the respect/attention she wanted? IDK MAN I JUST WANT THOSE CRAZY KIDS TO WORK IT OUT.

Prompt: I would love anything from Ruan Nanzhu's POV as they explore one of the earlier doors, or if you want to invent a new door based on your favorite ghost story/urban legend, go for it!!! I'm especially interested in Ruan Nanzhu's POV about major spoiler, or their lives after major spoiler reveal (and, uh, any wild sex that might ensue). For the record, I haven't had a chance to watch Spirealm yet, but hope to do so before Yuletide and might add (OPTIONAL) live-action-based prompts to my letter if you’re into that!!

Holy shit, this fandom basically checks off ALL my favorite tropes/kinks. Competence! Pining! Oblivious character! Terrifying ghost stories and peril and hurt/comfort! SHAMELESS FLIRTING with the oblivious character! Crossdressing and gender play!!!  I really love both characters, how calm and clever and kind and practical Lin Quishi is - how can you NOT fall in love with him?? Especially when you see how dorky he is with his cat????? AND RUAN NANZHU. I love how he wants attention (from Lin Quishi) and to be pampered and how he's so vain and into the size of his own dick, how HE LOVES entertaining himself by stirring up drama and how delighted he is when Lin Quishi leans into it with him. They are so great together, like just so much HAPPIER than they were apart. I love them.

Missing scenes in current doors would be GREAT - like... say, 5 Times Bedsharing Ended Up With Mutual Boners and One Time It Ended In Sex? Lin Quishi in the dressing room trying on women's clothes and refusing to come out?? OR, if horror writing is more your mood, feel free to invent some new doors based on the ghost stories/urban legends/favorite horror movies of your choice and have Ruan Nanzhu and Lin Quishi badass their ways through it! I'd love someone getting injured to save the other, and stoicly suffering, and getting yelled at/pampered. Either or both dressed as girls during this is GREAT. Sex scenes would be very welcome - I'd extra love Ruan Nanzhu topping and making Lin Quishi beg for his dick while he's wearing a skirt, tbh??

Neva Play - Megan Thee Stallion ft. RM (link)

Prompt: I just want to know more about this epic duet!!!!!!! I love how much fun they're having together!!!!!! I could go romantic or platonic; would love if somehow wires crossed in my requests and Megan and Chappell Roan found true love, with RM as the long-suffering bff?? But really you can't go wrong here, just give me the epic sexy vibes of the pinball heist. WHAT UP STALLION. GODDAMN. Happy for almost any AU or crossover here, if you have questions just hit up the mods and I'm happy to clarify!

I admit, Megan first caught my attention as an artist when I found out she unabashedly loved anime. Then I checked out her work and was blown away. This music video in particular feels sooo in keeping with her anime roots (DBZ references!!!!) and I would LOVE a My Hero Acadmia AU, or Durarara AU (omg headless horseman celty!megan) or Cowboy Bebop or Trigun!! Or Evangelion, or DBZ, or Attack on Titan, wherever you wanna go with this!!

But also the universe of the video itself is fuckin DREAMY, so fun, and gives me such a heist vibe. Or even a Men in Black AU with agents M and R??? I honestly just… love this damn video. It’s so smart and playful. The FUN of it, that’s what I’d love more of. How did Megan and RM meet? Is he stuck inside the pinball machine, does she have to break him out? Who exactly are these weirdo haters they’re fighting???

I’d also be down for RM and Megan interacting IRL, the backstory of how the video and song were created! What was it like collabing on a song while RM was stuck in the military?

Shipping-wise, I’m happy for shippy or platonic between these two. I could definitely see them as BFFs, with Megan cruising home with all her $$$$$ to pamper her pretty girlfriend at home, or I could see her and RM as a very sexy secret agent couple. That “what up, stallion” line and the wink fuckin’ SLAYED me. They both read as very toppy to me, so I’d be so interested in them wrestling for dominance in a relationship or a partnership and how that plays out.

(Re: BTS, I’m fine with allusions/shout-outs to RM’s life as Namjoon and his relationships with his other band members but would prefer the story strongly center Megan and RM’s relationship (whatever you decide that to be!))

Prompt: I love how playful and silly this video is, even with all the horror movie gore, but if you want to treat all the murdery stuff as more metaphorical and examine how this proxy relationship between Jenna and Sabrina via their cheating with each other’s SOs might aCTUALLY play out IRL, also very down for that!

Holy shit, I could not love this video more. HIGHLANDER AU, ANYONE??? Or Old Guard AU!!! Or some kind of vampire, idk?? Addams Family, west coast?? Gods from some pantheon or another? Jennifer’s Body?? PICK A MURDERY UNDEAD FLAVOR. Just keep the filthy flirty viciousness and mutual obsession.

ANYWAY, I’d love these two fighting and fucking and flirting through the centuries. I love that the boyfriend is basically just a rando that they’re using as a prop in their larger relationship. Maybe this is the end of one of their periodic decade long separations? Are all the other immortals in this universe vexed by their on-off murdery shenanigans?? 

Would love anything that plays with the idea of them fucking each other by proxies, which is just so damn H O T. And only very very VERY slowly (the century-long slow burn of idiots in love) becoming willing to acknowledge that maybe they want to actually fuck each other instead of the random lovers they keep fighting over.

Prompt: I’m ready to face the facts: Captain William Laurence is my little black dress of this fandom. I love his earnest, stupid, oblivious, noble, self-sacrificing face. I want him to get wrecked and adored. Pair him with anyone who will torment/adore him. Options: Temeraire, Granby, Tharkay, Jane, Napoleon, Prince Mianning… go hogwild. I’m down for poly or solo pairings. If you’re not feeling shippy, anything about him being competent and dry and wry and self-sacrificing. Put him in space or in a fairy tale or amongst vampires! I’m down for WHATEVER. 

Yeahhhhhhhhh, I love this fandom and I love all the pairs in it, but I am especially weak to Laurence with uhhhhh basically anyone. He brings out the despairing adoration in so many characters, and I DIG IT. You can’t really go wrong so long as the fic centers on the suffering Laurence inflicts on so many by being so dreamy and SO STUPIDLY SELF-SACRIFICING AND  COMPETENT AND NOBLE AND DUMB. Big fan. Would love a Star Trek AU, or a Venom AU, or anything that flings Laurence into wacky foreign situations that he has to figure out how to deal with.

 

The Summer Hikaru Died (link)

Prompt: I fell HARD for this canon and read the whole thing (that was available SOB) in half a day. The eerie tragic wonder of it, the mutual discovery and alien sexiness of the chest-penetration, damn!!!! The pining and adoration and doomed knowledge of the original Hikaru haunts me. I could go for any combo of ships here and any level of sweet eerie gen to completely filthy off-the-wall xeno. Just have fun with the fandom!!! I love all of it so far!

SCREAMING ABOUT THESE FUCKED UP KIDS. I love how oddly innocent/wholesome Fake Hikaru is, and I love how confused/miserable/adoring Yoshiki is, and I LOVE the absence of original Hikaru and how tangible it is throughout the series. How doomed and goofy and repressed and devoted the original boy was to Yoshiki. There’s a strange OT3 to them, almost. ANYWAY, I ship any combo of these three together, if you want to run with that! Strongly encourage you to lean into the body horror and eerie murdery mystery of it all. I’d be very intrigued by a Natsume’s Book of Friends AU or crossover, but love the canon in and of itself.

....Also, please, give me more of their weird otherworldly dimensional torso-gap fisting, should you be so inclined, thank you. Super love their confused, xenophile teenaged exploration.
